This lagoon is encountered a few kilometers from Puerto Escondido and has 15 km of shoreline. It is surronded by mangroves which are the habitats of aquatic birds and iguanas. It is ideal to watch the magnificent sun setting where the lagoon, the river, and the sea are united. It is possible to swim in fresh water or salt water. Kayaks can be rented to row placidly in the lagoon.
